Austin's Legacy

"He was on a mission to do as much as he could
with the little time that he had."

Our son, Austin Blair, was a happy, giving young man, who at the age of only 14, had already accomplished much in his young life. He was a passionate volunteer, lending a hand to many organizations in Ohio County and the surrounding area. If there was a need, Austin was there eager to help.

On November 29, 2008, Austin’s life was cut short by his sudden passing.  Our sweet boy was called Home where he'll be forever young.

Austin will always be remembered for his warm smile, positive attitude, and giving spirit. He was a Christian, a volunteer, coach, mentor, fundraiser, and so much more. He lived more in his 14 short years than most and continues to inspire all of us to be better people and to make a difference in this world. Austin will forever be missed for his giving spirit and passion for helping others.

The Austin's Legacy Scholarship Fund was established to keep Austin Blair’s memory alive by assisting other active youth volunteers in reaching their educational goals and to invest in our future community leaders.

Formed in April 2010, the first $1000 scholarship was given May 2011.
Three scholarships were given on May 1, 2012 - what would've been Austin's graduating class.
Two scholarships were given May 2013.
